It’s officially 10 weeks until Christmas and that means warm fires and endless hot chocolates and beauty advent calendars! No? Just me?
Well if you’re in the market for an advent calendar with a little more than tiny deformed snowman shaped chocolates, here are a couple of my favourites available now or coming soon to a shop/web browser near you.
Tanya Burr Deck the Hauls Christmas Beauty Calendar |
was £25 now £15 here
Featuring twelve Tanya treats in special edition shades – two nail polishes (under the sea and carnival night), two pairs of lashes (girl next door and party girl) plus adhesive, two shimmer pots (twinkling moon and twinkling gold), three midi lip glosses (macaroon, candy frost, bewitching), two nail files and a mirror.
I’m starting off with this fantastic budget calendar from YouTube guru and now Superdrug sensation Tanya Burr. Having recently launched her repackaged range and added some fantastic new products and palettes, Tanya is doing fantastic things on the budget beauty scene at the moment and I’m sure this will be a firm favourite with young girls the world over. However, don’t let that put you off if you’re a little bit out of the Gleam Crew age bracket, as the nail varnishes and lip products in this range are very high quality and come in a fantastic range of colours, that I’m sure this calendar would make a great alternative to some of the pricier beauty advents for anyone on a budget.
24 days of baths, just what you need to wind down in the chilly but stressful Christmas shopping season. This budget calendar is packed with bath fizzes, bath bombs and soaps with festive names like Plum Berry Ice and Santa Baby. If you can’t get your hands on this year’s Lush calendar, but still want to make for some festive bathtime, this is your treat!
House of Fraser Colour Couture Advent Calendar | £20 available in store
The HoF Calendar this year features products from their own brand Colour Couture, and is another ‘bit of everything’ calendar this year, perfect for someone whose make-up bag needs a total refresh or building back up again from scratch. For just £20, it would seem silly not to!
M&S Advent Calendar | £25 when you spend £25 at M&S
This is my favourite multi-brand calendar of the year and I’m definitely going to try and get hold of it. With a mixture of products from some fantastic names, such as Rituals, REN, Stila, Neal’s Yard and Cowshed, the M&S calendar is perfect for trying new things and getting something new and different every day.
Plus, it’s only £25 when you spend £25 at M&S, where you might want to do some of your Christmas shopping anyway, so why not get a treat for yourself while you’re at it!
Benefit Party Poppers | £34.50 out of stock online but may be available from Debenhams
As I write, this calendar went on sale two days ago and is already out of stock thanks to all the beauty junkies with their debit cards poised over their keyboards. It’s not hard to see why, as this steal of a calendar boasts almost £80 worth of products, so congratulations if you were one of those to get hold of it! For those still wanting, check the Debenhams website, or ask at your local Benefit counter, as they may still know how to get one!
No7 25 Days of Beauty Wonders | £38 from 28th October at Boots & online (wait list here)
For fans of No7, or anyone who maybe likes the brand but isn’t sure what to buy, this is a fantastic calendar with so much variety: from miniature skincare, to make up, even to tools. Although I’m not a huge fan of their make up, the skincare is pretty good and this calendar offers a great range of products for the price tag.
L’Occitane Noel Approche Advent Calendar | £39 available from October 21st in store and here
Firstly, how can you resist how adorable this calendar is?! After the success of their 2014 calendar, L’Occitane’s calendar this year is set over 24 days and is packed with mini skin, hair and bodycare products in their signature luxurious scents.

I’m so happy to see MUR getting in on the beauty calendar bandwagon as they are fast becoming my favourite budget beauty brand, and this looks like a great value for money calendar full of some of their lip products and smaller pressed items like blushes or bronzers. MUR are also releasing a deluxe edition, keep reading to see it!
CHEEKY Advent Calendar | £49 available at Cheeky Holborn, Cheeky at Barber & Parlour, Cowshed Spas and here
With no Nails Inc. calendar in sight yet this year, CHEEKY – a cute smaller brand with an even cuter website – have released a calendar with a wide range of nail paints that boast long lasting, quick drying and high shine formulas for quick beauty fixes. Their colour selection boasts some real festive pick-me-ups and a range of colours that veer away from neutrals for something a bit more exciting this winter.
Lush 12 Days of Christmas | £49.95 may still be available in some stores
Lush were early to the calendar game this year, releasing their 12 Days of Christmas on October 2nd. It has, sadly, sold out online but might still be hanging around in some Lush stores! This calendar is filled with a couple of of Lush’s most popular products (Butterbear, The Comforter), and quite a few seasonal ones (Cinders, Snow Angel bath melt, Dashing Santa, and so on!), but fear not if you couldn’t get hold of the calendar because you will still be able to get all of these in store separately!
Ciate Mini Mani Month | £49.99 from mid-October at Selfridges, ASOS and Look Fantastic
The Ciate calendar returns! This year’s calendar is packed with 18 colours, and a couple of treatments and treats to keep your nails looking perfect this season, plus the gorgeous red from Olivia Palermo’s collaboration. Selfridges Cosmic Beauty Advent Calendar | £95 available here from October 22nd
No list is complete without the Selfridges calendar, and this year is no exception. Priced at £95, Selfridge’s do not fail to disappoint with a selection of high end beauty products from Kiehl’s, Lancome, YSL and more. A full list of products is on their website if you don’t want to fork out without the knowledge, or just grab it on the 22nd if you like a surprise! From what I’ve heard, the contents of this box is very similar to previous years, so if you’re looking for something new but still high end, I would recommend the Liberty box or LookFantastic.
Liberty Advent Calendar | £149 available at Liberty from October 29th
My favourite London store, Liberty is a beauty monument, and this paisley print calendar screams loud and clear its brand image. Featuring 10 full size items and miniature luxury samples from the brands that you see and smell on a quick stroll through the store, such as Diptyque, Kiehls, Dr Sebagh and NARS, this is one of 2015’s ultimate beauty collections and undoubtedly will leave you smiling every day.

This is one to definitely keep your eyes peeled for as it will undoubtedly go FAST.
Jo Malone The Luxury Advent Calendar | £260 available at Harrods now or nationwide from November
Of all the things on this list, this has go to be my dream calendar. However, check that price tag! Definitely just a dream for me, but if you’re in the market for some new Jo Malone scents but just can’t choose from the huge range of gorgeous combinations, this set of miniatures will keep you going for a while!
Of course this by no means covers all of 2015’s beauty calendars: W7 have one on the cards, and hopefully Primark will release a couple as well after the success of their jewellery calendars last year, so keep your eyes peeled!
I’ve got my eye on the Liberty and YouBeauty ones! Let me know in the comments which calendars have caught your eye this year!
Until next time!
